I am scheduled to take the World History SAT2 and the Chemistry SAT2 on June 1st.

I am fairly confident in my World History skills (I just took the AP), but I am completely lost on the SAT2 for Chemistry. I am currently in Chem H, but we did not cover a lot of the material because of hurricane Sandy (we lost close to three weeks of school and omitted a lot of the curriculum.)

Is there any way I can cancel the Chemistry SAT2 but not my World History SAT2?

I don't want to cancel my scores after taking the test, because I would lose my World History score.

I know there's ScoreChoice for certain colleges, but I am not sure how that works. If a college does not have ScoreChoice, would I be forced to send my Chemistry SAT2, even if it is horrible?

Can someone please explain? I'm really confused. Thank you!

(NOTE: I would like to cancel taking the actual test, not the score)

My daughter is scheduled to take the SAT 2 in chem and lit on June 1, but she just told me that she wants to focus on chem and not take lit. I read that you can just skip the test on the actual day and only take the one test that you want to take, and you will only get that test scored. If you do it that way then you will lose the money. I am calling college board tomorrow to ask if she can have a credit towards another test. If they say no, then she will take chem on June 1 and we will lose the money for the second test. I think that you can switch the date, for a fee. The worst thing that will happen is that you only take the one test and you will lose the money for the second test.

Would I simply tell the people that would give me the test to hold the Chemistry one? I would be willing to lose the money, it’s not worth the additional stress and potential damage. I plan on calling collegeboard tomorrow too, just in case. Thank you!

You can just walk out after finish one subject test. Or you may talk other subjects if you want. You may even add a third subject test at the spot.

You would take one test and then walk out. Or you can switch tests at the last minute. They give you a test booklet for the tests- just make sure to bubble in the right page. Last year my daughter bubbled the wrong test and had to re- bubble at the end. She had to fill out some special paperwork to do this. So… You can just decide at the last minute to skip the second test and all that will happen is you will lose the money.

My daughter just told me that the issue was that the pages in her test booklet were stuck together. Luckily she caught it.
