Some questions on the USC application ask questions that i know are to describe myself like “what three words best describe you” I was wondering for the theme song question, is there a type of song i shouldnt put? i have always thought my theme song was cradle to the grave by five finger death punch but is that the sort of song i should put on there since it has curse words and all?
These should be what you truly like, don’t try to guess what they are looking for - they want to know you. These aren’t going to make or break anything - they are just hints into your personality. Your song choice is fine if that is what you have thought of as your theme song! Let it ride, good luck and Fight On!
I wondered the same thing - the theme song I ended up putting down had a bunch of cursing in it. So, I’m actually going to pass along the advice I got from my mom about this. First, so many songs now have cursing or other potentially offensive aspects to them that you’d be hard pressed to find one that wouldn’t have some issue. It’s so common now, you shouldn’t think twice about it. Second, the quick takes are meant to give them a glimpse of who you really are, so don’t hesitate to answer honestly and don’t fret over them because there is no right answer to any of them.
I recalled my son filling an answer about his favorite movie in the USC app, and he wrote “21” as he truly likes math more than Las Vegas or gambling or the easy life. He got into USC
