For APUSH. I’m still going through Direct Hits! I’m very familiar with everything before the World Wars… Pitiful, I know. Think if I read through DH twice and practice the essays, I can manage a 5?

I’m only about 130 pages through the Direct Hits book, so you have nothing to worry about. We took the multiple choice section of the 1996 released exam today and I got 61/80 right (and I only took 40 minutes to do it). And history is my least favorite/worst subject It won’t be a big deal if you get a 4. The only way you can safely get a 5 is by actually knowing the information. You should start doing multiple choice questions that are similar to those on the AP exam if you haven’t already.

Do you guys have hard copies of the book? I was looking for it online (my parents won’t let me get anymore AP books XD) but couldn’t find a download. If you did find a download, I would appreciate you forever if you PMed it to me I can exchange all the past APUSH exams (the released ones) in exchange!

Yeah, I did the 2006 released exam last night and got 69/80, which I heard equates to a 5. Direct Hits seems to be an excellent book, but I feel bad for abandoning AMSCO for an untried book.
In my case I DO need to get a 5 though…
ZuVieleFragen - I’m searching for a free download. I got mine in the mail for free, though, so I don’t know if they’re doing it online as well.

^Not available online. Not really untried. Author also wrote the Crash Course AP US History book. According to Bio he was named the top AP teacher in the US two years in a row. Definitely the best book right now.

Getting a 69 out of 80 is really good. You will probably get a 5 in that case.

Thanks, but its just the MC. Do you think Direct Hits is good enough for the essays?
