Is there any way to check Application's Status?

I got excited too soon.

My son’s yellow letter says…“Consult the enclosed information on myNova, Villanova’s secure portal and, using the information above, monitor the progress of your application for admission and financial assistance as you are responsible for its completion.”

The yellow letter confirms my son’s basic information and gives a Villanova id, but I don’t see what he needs to get into myNova. Will the user information come in a separate letter or e-mail? Should he e-mail the college?

The same thing happened to me; I received my letter in the mail on thursday and saw that I should’ve received an e-mail. I then e-mailed gotuvu@villanova.edu told them my name, the ID they provided me with on that yellow paper and that I didn’t receive the e-mail on how to set up my account. Eventually someone mailed me back with a code and I set up my account. In the portal I was able to check the different parts of the application they have received from me. Turns out that they still didn’t receive my transcripts even though I had my guidance office send them the 23rd of Oct… Yeah I kinda expect this with my guidance office. They’re always doing something wrong. I’m going to call Villanova tomorrow and see what’s up. I applied Early action so I hope this doesn’t make me ineligable for it because this is out of my control.

Hey Dynamo, they didnt get mine either, or so it says on the website, but my GC showed me his file or w.e and i can assure you he sent it, he told me to just call the school

Everybody relax. When you call the school there’s an automated message that MyNova will be updated for everyone by December 5. They are going through the apps now and everyone who applied EA will know by Dec. 20.

If I submitted all of my apps on November 1 but they weren’t downloaded until November 2, am I still eligible for early action??

I see that the “information sheet” on MyNova says that you can check your application status on 12/5 and receive a decision on 12/20, but isn’t 12/5 a little late to find out that something was not received.

The College Board says that the scores were sent and my son’s guidance office says that they sent the information in October. I would think that it would be easy to misplace paper work. I know Villanova prefers electronic reports, but the high school doesn’t do that.

I checked today before I was about to call and my portal account now says they received my transcript and counselor rec., so they’re probably still in the process of going through everyones file and updating everything online. I wouldn’t panic if something isn’t checked off on your portal.

I only submitted my scores a few days before the app deadline of Nov. 1. I figure this wouldn’t be an issue. I’m now assuming that my scores didn’t arrive at Villanova until after Nov. 1. Does this mean I didn’t get my materials in on time and I can’t be considered for EA?

If I submitted all of my apps on November 1 but they weren’t downloaded until November 2, am I still eligible for early action??

^^ I’m wondering the same thing. Anyone know?

Should be fine as long as your app was submitted by the deadline.

What if I sent my test scores before the deadline and they aren’t received until after the deadline? Villanova says all materials must be RECEIVED by Nov. 1., so am I ineligible for EA?

This is driving me crazy because my counselor told me I would be fine if I submitted everything November 1st even though I told her what the site said. Now I don’t even have any way to confirm what admissions really has from me. Should I try to email them or just wait it out?
