I've shown a tremendous amount of interest in Middlebury College over the past few years. I've attended every college visit that Middlebury has made to my school since sophomore year and visited Middlebury in the spring of my junior year. I wrote a thank you letter to the admissions office for my excellent tour and info session. I've recently contacted the Japanese professor at Middlebury (and have been replied to!). I was also fervent in scheduling an alumni interview with the school as I had marked the box on my app asking for one, but was not contacted (some address mess up or something.) However, I was determined and managed to get one! As I ended my conversation with my interviewer, she said "I hope you get in, you're the kind of person that needs to be at Middlebury."

I have basically been all over this school for the past two years and it is my true top choice. However, my academics and test scores are not very competitive for Midd. Not only that, but a friend of mine (who goes to my school) is much more qualified than I am has applied to Middlebury as well. We are both hoping we get in, but we know the realities of college admissions. He is way more qualified than I am, and admissions officers always remember him though I try very hard to show them I am interested in the school and stuff.

Idk, I guess I'm just really in love with the school and want to stand a shot at admission. Is there anything else I can do to show the school that I really want to go? I haven't come across as obsessive to the school (and I don't want to) but Middlebury is just the perfect place for me to be next year.
