is there anything in Mass.

i just got accepted to a few colleges in Mass. i am thinking about going but i keep hearing that it is a very boring place. Can anyone tell me anything about schools in Mass.? is it fun? Is there anything to do out there?

Congratulations (I'm a brooklyn girl too). you've pretty much made a general statement as there are a lot of schools in the state of MA. is you are in the boston vicinity there are literally 60 colleges with in a 60 mile radius. There is a 5 college consortium (Umass, SMith, Mt Holyoke, Amherst and Hampshire) Are you in Williamstown-buautiful location , very rural. Have you researched the area of the school which you have been admitted? What is the town like, are they part of a consortium? are there other schools near by?

Harvard, MIT, Berklee and a bunch of other schools are in Mass. Boston's all right, just stay out of 'Southie' (not to stereotype but it's the ghetto) and don't go to the country side because it is really REALLY freakin' country there. Mass. is great for American history buffs since it's the home of Paul Revere, the battle of Lexington and Concord, Plymouth, etc. Have fun!

i got accepted to Western New England, Mount Ida, and BU

haha every state has a ghetto

Aye, if you're bored in Boston, you'd be bored anywhere.

Honestly, if you have the opportunity take a weekend and visit MA. You're close enough that it's a bit of a drive but not so far that it's a ridiculous suggestion. I really love Boston and think there's a ton of stuff to do. Granted, I'm from NH where there is absolutely nothing to do. In Boston there are theaters, museums, pro sports, concerts, and so much more. The city is really worth some exploration if you can take the time. Good luck with your decision.

i have heard there is a lot to do in the town, but i want to know if the school are any fun. many people have told me there is nothing to do at schools in MA, that they basically have no social life. i would just like to know if this is true. Is anyone going to school in Mass. or know anything about these schools in Mass.
anything would help

thx jessetfan

A friend of mine attended a summer program at BU which he absolutely loved. He thought there was a lot to do and really enjoyed the experience, it was actually the reason he applied to BU for college, but he didn't end up going. I have a friend at Simmons, also in Boston, who absolutely loves the experience, she has found quite a bit to do, sports and clubs.
