Is there strong school spirit/sense of community at Bing?

So I know virtually nothing about Bing--I got in EA but I honestly kind of forgot about it through all the RD drama but now I'm seriously starting to consider it.

One of the major factors I'm looking for in college is a sense of community...current students, do you feel like there is a strong one?

Seriously…no one?

Binghamton actually has a lot of school spirit and large sense of community because it is in a small city. Also, athletics there have recently gained tons of popularity due to Binghamton getting into the NCAA Basketball tournament.

I think the way the dorms are set up promote community. Check the thread “ask a current student”

There is a lot of school spirit here at Bing. Obviously people go out to support our Basketball teams and other sports teams but each community has spirit amongst themselves. CIW is very big on helping out at University events such as homecoming weekend. They always have a float in the parade and are very involved with campus events. I lived in Hinman (smith hall) for 2 years and I loved the sense of community there. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. During the semester (in all the communities) there are opportunities to get to know others by participating in community programs and events.
