Is there such a thing as over-qualified?

My experience is that you must visit the campus. Take care in writing your essays and communicate either in person or in writing your interest in matriculating. Get to know the curriculum and programs....spend some time reading the course catalogue.....get to know the requirements for degrees. Make attempts to communicate with faculty. There is so much more to the application process than filling out an application and taking the grand tour. This is a sales process.....you are both selling to each other.

Hey there Cubsrule......and how would the school know this? Did you tell them? Did you tell them what other schools you have applied to? I am not clear how any school, if you have done a good job of applying, would ever know that they are your safety school. The whole plan is to not let them know...or not let them continue to believe if they suspect. Can you explain how they know???
