<p>Well, to be honest, every essay is “just another essay.” It’s not like anyone really gets into a first-rate college on the essay alone (or, rather, it’s not like a quality essay makes up for terrible scores and bad grades). Just seriously, write what you want to write about because that’ll be genuine and really showcase who you are as a person. I’ve never worked admissions, but I have read high school students’ admissions essays (ah, tutoring), and I can tell you that it is really, really easy to spot a fake but a lot of the time, all it took was a little prodding to get students to stop writing what they thought the admissions committee wanted to read and start writing that they themselves wanted to write.</p>
