is this a challenging junior schedule

Ap physics
AP us history
AP English lang. and composition
Ap studio art-3d
pre-calculus
Cinema-Film
psychology
health
and gym

slightly above average

10char

Crap… that’s nice…
but what about mine?? (I’m a rising high school junior too!!)

AP BC Calculus
AP Chemistry
US History
Spanish 4th Year
Regular English (a class all juniors in my school have to take)
Orchestra
Health

I know it’s only 2 AP’s, but I’m not applying to any Ivy’s.

^below average.

^^ Yours isn’t bad either, especially if it’s a rigorous schedule compared to what the school offers.

Yeah, when colleges look at you they’re mostly comparing you to the other kids in your school. Some schools have more AP’s or different levels of intensity or a different grading scale. So it’s hard to compare your schedule with someone’s from a different school, especially if it’s a different school system.

@ Jappleze - Looks like you’ve got your work cut out for you! lol
@ kchang95 - Your schedule looks good to me. Like Tenors said, as long as it’s rigorous compared to what you’re school offers.

What do you think about mine?

HNR Chem
HNR Pre-Calc
AP US History
AP Lang. & Comp.
Spanish III
Graphic Design I
CISCO I

AP Bio
H-Chem
Boys Athletic Training
AP English
AP US History
H-French III
H-Precalculus

Also will be dual enrolled this semester at my local comm. college for Statistics and Macroeconomics. Essentially, I won’t sleep this year!

CheesePuffPoppins is absolutely wrong.

There is no “above average” or “below average”. You take courses based on what your school offers. What a rigorous and challenging course in Stuyvesant High School might be different then a rigorous and challenging course in Roman Empire High School. If that is the most challenging your school can offer, then that is good enough for Ivies.

If your school offers only 2 AP’s, then you are not penalized, nor are you put into bias by admissions officers, because they do not compare your school to others who offer much more. So comparing schedules is definitely a sure way to end up more confused and misled.

Definitely, good mix out classes! I like the Cinema-Film class. Wish they had that at my school! :)

I really don’t understand why people rate schedules based on the class/subject. What happened to teachers?

That really ****es me off.

^ ratemyteachers.com

People can decide for themselves on that.
