judgment for special circumstances. In addition, federal student aid eligibility is determined through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and a separate need formula.</p>

<p>The main elements we use in determining the parental contribution
are family income, assets other than the family home and retirement funds, state and federal taxes, an allowance for family living expenses, and the costs of other family members in college.</p>

<p>Once the PFAA information is received, an aid counselor reviews the entire application and determines the expected family contribution.
