Is this a good junior year schedule?

Hi! I’m a rising junior next year, and I’ve decided to take 4 AP’s after taking 0 my freshman year and 1 my sophomore year (AP Computer Science Principles). To be honest 4 AP’s seems kinda daunting, but a lot of my friends are telling me that these aren’t very hard courses, so please tell me your honest opinions of whether you think this is a “doable” schedule or not! Thanks in advance!

  1. AP Computer Science A
  2. AP Chem
  3. AP Stat
  4. AP Lang
  5. Acc. Precalc H
  6. Latin 3 H

CS A, and Chem are hard, Lang is difficult but normally so.
Switch AP stats for something else that’s be easier, perhaps?

I was considering that, but then the only thing I can take is either on level US or a pointless elective lool
I heard AP Stat isn’t like a normal math class tho?

Overall, coming from another incoming junior, here’s what I think:

AP Computer Science - Definitely a class worthy of trying!
AP Chem - One of the hardest AP courses you’ll ever have.
AP Stat - Never took it, so I wouldn’t know what it’s like.
AP Lang - I’m also taking this class, but it’s very daunting.
Precalc Honors - Also taking this class. If you’re good at math, this will really help you
Latin 3 H - Overall, that seems like a good class. 3 years is a good amount.

Now, as for your social studies class, unless you can graduate with 2 years of social studies, you’re going to need it senior year.

Do you lean more towards math/science or writing? AP Lang is good to take, it’s a lot of writing but will help with essays. Agree about AP Chem being hard so be prepared to work. Some students stick with taking 2-3 AP’s junior year and focus in areas they will lean towards in college. Others take 4-5 AP’s and do well. Keep in mind colleges like to see a strong GPA coming out of junior year so be sure you have the time to dedicate to all of them.

yeah so i’m taking US online during summer because there’s absolutely noooo way i’m doing APUSH!

AP Chemistry is very difficult, as is computer science. From my friends in AP Stat, it isn’t too difficult, and I self-studied AP Lang and found it incredibly easy. So I think 4 APs is doable, depending on your other commitments.

I know for sure I’m going to take APCSA, AP Chem and AP Lang, but I’m still debating on AP Stat. I do think it would be really helpful in the future, and apparently it’s not that hard of an AP. Also, without AP Stat, I really don’t have a good substitute for that blank period :frowning:
