I think it’s pretty good. Just remember that most kids applying to those schools will have similar stats, so it’s important to find a way to stand out from the rest of the applicants.

I’ve always wondered:
What kinds of things would get you to ‘stand out’?
Are there any examples?

Volunteering/community involvement would be a nice boost. Higher up colleges like well rounded students too. Plenty of people think being well rounded means being smart and athletic, but having small parts of artistic or philanthropic in an app with be nice additions and shows signs that you are open minded and have initiative to branch out and contribute. But overall, very nice plan. I can’t really comment on the IB course load since I’m not familiar with it, but just make sure you’re not overloading yourself!

As for “standing out”, I think passion will shine through and set an application apart from the hundreds of others. Don’t fake anything, but let your interests show.

By doing things that almost nobody else does. For example learn how to fly an airplane, win the professional hot dog eating championship, travel to the edge of space in a weather balloon, etc.

What grade are you in?
Seems like a cool schedule, but at my school, freshmen can’t be in the National Honor Society, so I’m not sure how you’ll be in it for 4 years.

GL

^In my school it’s 4 years…
I’ve been in NHS since 9th grade.
