Is this a valid reason to contact admissions?

Hello. I'm writing here because I read in the other thread that it's not a good idea to contact admissions for trivial things.

I recently applied for dorm rooms and I've spoken to admissions at least five times (this was them either calling me or telling me to call back later, though.) because I was missing a form.

I finally got everything sorted out, but something a little confusing happened. One person kept telling me that I didn't need the form, and that they would process the application. Another person said they did need the form and that there was nothing I could do (I don't have anyone available to sign the form).

The last time I called them, they said there was nothing I could do and then a different person called back five minutes later and said everything was fine and to e-mail them my situation and they would process the application.

I was thinking about calling them back just to make sure everything will go through, but I don't want to be a pest. I just don't want to find out a few weeks down the road that they really did need the form and that I missed out on getting a dorm room. =/

Sounds like you should contact housing, not admissions.

Yeah, that's who I've been speaking to. I used the terms interchangeably in my post; my mistake.

What have you got to lose?

Shoot the e-mail but call anyway since calling helps clarify things a bit faster (it tends to take some time for them to respond to e-mails). Of course that's just my guess, but I'd suggest you not be too concerned as coming off as a pest, I'm sure they deal with random stuff like this often, it's their job (sort of).
