1) Gen chem + lab is very demanding.
2) Calc can be hard depending on whether or not you’re good at math.
3) UWS is A LOT of work, especially because the grad students are typically tougher graders than professors.
4) Being really involved in 3 clubs takes up time.

I have the same concern for my schedule also… I’m taking:
Into to Economics
UWS
Math 22a (Linear Algebra)
Spanish Conversation
General Chemistry + Chem Lab
P.E. (First Year Experience)

But I think as long as you can keep up with the work the first two weeks (the trial period) you’ll be fine… But I also think joining 3 clubs is a little much… I think two clubs would be ideal… Depends on the club’s commitments =)

As has been said, gen chem and lab are very demanding, and take up a lot of time. Although I’m not premed, I know that lab can take upwards of four hours, not including the report that follows. Gen chem also takes a lot of time to study for, from what I’ve seen, and people stress out about those tests no matter what.

However, if you’re committed you can definitely do it! If it’s too overwhelming, too, don’t feel bad about dropping a class-- you can always take it again later if you’re interested in it.

Also, depending upon what clubs you’re looking to join, three may require too much. Clubs at Brandeis often meet at least once a week, and (again, depending) seem to have activities to do fairly frequently.

For now, though, don’t worry too much-- once classes start you’ll be able to get a feel for whether it is too much for you or just the right amount. It’s always fine to start with too much and then tailor it down based on how you’re feeling. Good luck!

chem 10a will be one of the easiest courses if you do those practice problems properly.
once you are done with those practice, you don’t even have to think during the exam. your hand just moves automatically.
