Whittier doesn’t meet need. You’ll be expected to pay 30K+ no matter what.
As mentioned above: Lewis&Clark.
If you’re willing to go further OOS, look into Montana State, UMontana, Carroll Montana, Nebraska Wesleyan, Bradley - I don’t know if their merit deadlines have passed. NAU is still accepting applications.
Further away, and stronger academically, you have Gustavus Adolphus, Allegheny, Muhlenberg.
RUN THE NPC on EACH of these.
Lewis and clark reg deadline was jan?
Shoot, really? I thought it was Feb 15.
I know St Michael’s extended its deadline and the ones in #20 have Feb 15 deadlines.
I thought that Perkins loans were being discontinued. Have they been revived again?
You’ve made NMF…rejection letters were received weeks ago and you obviously didn’t get one.
Apply to alabama as well for their very large NMF awards…it’s not too late for that.

The grant is from the school “Office of student admissions” EFC is pretty high, 6061, maybe I did sth wrong? cus I did most of it alone I learned my father pays around 22k yearly for NYU (btw, should i be posting info like this online? just being …

Your EFC is around $6k ($12k for two kids). Your dad is paying $22k per year for your brother, yet you think your dad can also afford to pay $25k per year for you?
I can’t imagine how a family with a $12k (total EFC) can afford to pay nearly $50k per year for college. That total EFC suggests an income of about $85k.
Is your dad self-employed?
- I am not betting it all on nmf, cus the mail system in my area is pretty slow from experience.
- From what i know, efc isn't a monetary value like 6000=6K? But the income you suggest is quite precise, father earns 80k ish.
I def don’t plan on going OOS if I’m going to burden myself and parents with loan. I thought in state schools were affordable though
Just did some research, i think I’ll apply u Arizona instead of u Alabama. Both have national merit scholarships, uAr deadline is May
Looks like U Arizona is better for physics, but unlike last year they are not giving full rides, instead their excellence merit scholarship with few other ones
If you’re going for good scholarships and Honors, Barrett at ASU is where it’s at. It’s one of the top honors colleges in the US, Barrett students have their own mini-campus with super dorms, a pool, facilities, etc. And Physics is top-notch.
UAlabama has an excellent honors college too with great suite-style dorms overlooking a sort of lake (/big pond?)
Apply to both, compare financial aid packages once you’ve been admitted.
