and the smells bad,as amb3r stated, means you stink.
i think smell belongs to the 5 senses,thats why it is an exception to the rule
for example: the kid smells bad. this is correct
the kid did badly on the test. this is correct too.
u cannot say 'the kid did bad on the test'
similarly, the girl looks beautiful vs the girl looks beautifully
clearly, looks beautifully is wrong
look is another one of the 5 senses.</p>
