Is this normal?

Is it normal to get a recreated financial aid package from a school you decided not to enroll to AFTER May 1? Or does said school really want me?

I'll elaborate a little bit:
Just today, Depauw sent my a new financial aid package that they just did yesterday, which cuts my out-of-pocket and loans in half, and beats any other college, including the one I"m now enrolled at, by quite a bit. I'm just wondering if this hapens often, and how I would do about enrollign here and de-enrolling elsewhere.

Tell the other college that you will not be coming. Expect to lose your deposit. Withdrawing like this is not a big deal: That kind of attrition is called "summer melt" by admissions officers

Tell DePauw that you are coming.

Ah, okay then. I'll make sure that this is a donfirmed package, then I'll be ready.
The other tuition deposit was "only" $200, but it'll save me money in the long run anyway.
Never heard the term summer melt before. Makes sense though, when you combine waitlisted people with others who have similar problems.
