I was in one of those Asian bus tours and we visited Harvard Yard recently. Our tour guide said that Massachusetts Hall is is where the Dean picks out the top students to dorm there. Is this true? If so, how are they selected or is it random?
That’s an urban legend. While not exactly random, there are no ulterior motives in assigning dorms.
