I have recieved two Cs for my second semester of senior year. Hypothetically speaking, if I got all As during freshman at my state's flagship, is transferring to an Ivy (or Chicago, Georgetown, Stanford), still possible?

Thank you.

Is a WL at UM the best you did out of these?

UVA
NYU
UChicago
Princeton
Harvard
Northwestern
Stanford
UMichigan

If so, 2 Cs to finish your HS record is not good, and 1 semester of college As is not going to get you to that level.

It is. How do you know that?

How about 2 years instead of one semester?

Everyone’s posting history is public. You have a post-application deadline Chances thread that lists those colleges, a thread about the UM WL and others for what I assume are your IS public. 1 + 1 + 1 =3.

2 yrs is always better for a less than great HS record.

Thanks for the info. Quick question: May I apply to transfer to a certain school after sophomore year if I had already applied and been rejected after freshman year?

You always have to check the college website to be sure, but in general there’s no problem with applying to a school that didn’t accept you as a fr or even as a soph transfer applicant.

sure, but be aware that colleges often hang onto applications for a few years, and if you are applying after only 1 in college your HS record [ and your earlier rejection] will be considered more than if you apply after 2 years in college. Also, some colleges require you to submit HS records/ and LOR’s even if you have been out of HS for 2+ years.
