Is University of Rochester a good school for Astronomy/Astrophysics?

I would like to major in Astronomy of Astrophysics. Rochester has a pretty open curriculum which I like, is relatively close to home, and is in my range. The only thing that I am worried about is that it's astronomy department isn't that strong, but I was wondering if anyone here could attest to that. Thanks in advance!

I go to UR actually and can say that I have heard great things about the department. There’s a lot of research going on in this field, so you’ll definitely get hands-on experience. Plus, Rochester is strong in the sciences
