Is UoP "worth it" for a Bio major?

@NCalRent UCR is now on the table (can’t get a bio major just yet).

Congrats. UCR is a pretty big upgrade over Northridge. As long as you can swing a decent housing arrangement and you don’t bury yourself in debt, UCR would be my choice.

Thank you @NCalRent
I’m going to live on campus for the first year, and I may have a roommate found already. It’s going to be expensive still and I’ll probably have some debt, but definitely not as expensive as Pacific would have been.

My premed friends that I made as Freshman are now in Medical school. From the other pre-meds that I know that made it to med school, the highest MCAT I heard of was a 36, lowest a 28. The pre-med community is small since most pre-meds won’t make it past their first/second year, you’re much more likely to meet pre-pharms or pre-dents. Most premeds that have a good gpa and make it to Junior-Senior year get into medical school. UoP is great for pre-meds as long as you take advantage of what the school offers. It’s easy to get undergraduate research, easy to talk with your professors (gleaming rec letters), and there is an abundance of nearby community volunteer opportunities. The science courses are HARD, if you can handle them you’ll do well on your MCAT. I got a 34 when I took after sophomore year.

I ended up at a UC instead D:

Which UC did you end up attending?
