<p>Errrrrrrrr no. We reject USAMO-ers. Surely it boosts your chances, but to say something is a guarantee for Caltech is asking to be disappointed.</p>
<p>What about multiple qualifications, say 3x? What if you get into MOP?</p>
<p>Even if that person IS accepted, there is no guarantee that it happened only because of 3xUSAMO + MOP.
If that person finds another one, with the same qualifications, and persuades him/her to write terrible essays and ultimately get rejected, one MIGHT get something out of this
But without setting up an experiment...that would be just speculation :)</p>

<p>My dear interlocutor, it's probably suboptimal to look for some magical set of qualifications that "ensures" that you'll get into Caltech. For one thing, that kind of mindset substantially increases the probability that you'll be rejected.</p>
<p>It turns out, however, that our statistics indicate one qualification such that every applicant holding it has been accepted. This qualification is being from Minowi</a>, Nebraska. So, if you're willing to extrapolate from the past, I recommend you get packing.</p>
<p>Every element of the empty set has been accepted to Caltech.</p>

<p>I seriously doubt that anyone from Maitland FL has been rejected. We have like, 10 people. (and two are at caltech!)</p>
<p>While USAMO is not a guarantee for Caltech, being a Guns N' Roses fan definitely is. Just don't burn out like Adler or pull a Buckethead once you get here.</p>

<p>The USAMO is a big deal math copetition that you have to take two qualifing tests and do extremely well just to get in. It cosists of 6 questions, all proofs. </p>
