I just found out about the Vagelos program at Penn and it seems like perfectly designed for my needs. But I am an international and our system does not offer any AP or similar tests, which seem to be important to be considered for the program. Can I still be considered for it, maybe if I take some placement tests or something?

There are two Vagelos programs at Penn. Are you talking about the Molecular Life Sciences program (MLS) in which you pursue two science degrees, or the Life Sciences & Management program (LSM) in which you pursue a science and a business degree?

both of them are open to international students

MLS. sorry for not being more specific.

also keep in mind that for LSM you do not actually pursue two degrees, but choose between wharton and the college. LSM is a pretty new program, the biochem one is the much more well-known and established program.

Back to the point, yes the program is open to internationals, and in fact many of the people who see the program all the way through and don't drop after a semester or two are the internationals (It is easily the most intense undergrad program at Penn, and in the first year has a very high attrition rate, I bet if the numbers were available one would see that the internationals actually fair better in the early years of the program, given that they're more likely to have a legit science/math background in high school than the crap that is generally taught in our schools).

Actually, LSM became a dual-degree program about a month ago.

Good point about the crap.
