Is WL need-blind or need-aware admission for domestic first year undergraduate?

Can anybody clarify it? Thanks

Surely the WL site has the answer, but I’m curious: When does it matter (in terms of wanting the answer)? Maybe you’re curious!

@vonlost, it seems that there is no a crystal clear answer to need-blind/aware or sensitive ADMISSIONS in the WL site.

Interestingly, there is also no any information regarding WL in the updated (on 22 February 2018, at 17:21) lists of various need-blind/sensitive admissions for major top colleges

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Need-blind_admission

This is why I asked the question. The defined information might help someone who are considering the applications for WL

^ It shouldn’t make any difference to an applicant. If you like a school and you believe you can afford it, it doesn’t matter if it’s need aware or need blind; it can sometimes affect your chance of admission (up or down) but that’s all.

As far as I am aware, the school is need-blind when evaluating early decision and regular decision applications, but favors more well-off applicants when making waitlist decisions. Most years, very few students are accepted off the waitlist and need hardly factors into admissions decisions. But some years, such as 2015, many students are taken off the waitlist, resulting in very wealthy classes.
