My school is huuuge so there’s a whole range of kids, but being a cheerleader, I guess I am biased toward saying that our school is focused on athletics more.

I wish it was artsy, so people would be more appreciative of the creative students. There are so many individually talented people that hardly get recognition since they don’t belong to a sports team.

My high school is very athletic, but academics are pretty good too. They offer a good number of APs, it’s just that most people don’t take a lot of them. Art is pretty good. We’re aren’t an art school, but there are a lot of people that take art as an elective. It’s not like if you don’t take a sport you’re not popular, it’s more of the fact that most people take up a sport.

My school is pretty equally academic and sporty. It actually happens to be that a few athletic kids are also highly academic. It’s not like if you don’t play a sport, you’re not popular, but more like most popular people play a sport.

My high school is huge. There are either extremely below average kids, or very bright kids. Almost each AP is offered, but I would say we are more athletic.

Athletic/Academic. Everyone’s required to play sports, and the academics are top notch. There are plenty of artistic outlets, but I wouldn’t say the arts program is particularly thriving. More than anything, i think the administration just doesn’t focus on the arts enough–they take a backseat to, say the boys’ varsity lacrosse team [though they deserve praise too–they were the champions in our league]. Of all the arts, the theatre program is definitely the best imo. Not like I’m biased or anything [i am…i’m a diehard techie :)]

our school is so tiny to where it only depends on each grade. For instance, this past senior class was really hipster and not into athletics or academics that much. Our class is very academically inclined, as probably 30% of it is aiming for top 30 schools in nation as well as athletically inclined as there are only 2 people in it out of 45 that don’t play a sport

Large public school with a student body of around 4000, my school is mostly academic, although we shine in sports regularly (Top Cross-Country team in the Nation 2010-2011). But academics is our best, we send about 30 people to Ivy Leagues a year, with a lot of acceptances to UCLA and UC Berkeley :)

I go to the Orange County High School of the Arts so… I guess you could say its very artsy(: but we have absolutely no sports (unless you count the dance teams) and the academics are sub-par

I think my school is fairly well-rounded (its kinda big with 2,300 kids).

I think they really try to push sports…some kids have called me “un-American” because i don’t like sports…everyday in the announcements they announce every last detail of the most recent games, our school usually comes out on top of the league in baseball and volleyball, and our varsity cheerleading team placed 11th in the nation this past year. we have a pool (but no football field), My school also has a holiday when everybody is supposed to dress-up as a lacrosse player (my school is really into lacrosse, even though our team is average at best). Is that considered very athletic?

Artsy…well, our Arts departments has very low funding but does very well.

Academically inclined…we have about 15 AP’s…our 2012 valedictorian is going to Northeastern (I’m not sure about any Ivy Leagues).

So I guess my school is more athletically-inclined then anything else.

When people say our school is into sports, they really mean they are into football, basketball, and a little bit of baseball. They don’t care about anything else - that’s how it is here in the south.

Of course, our basketball games are packed despite the fact that the basketball team won a grand total of 3 games in the past 2 years. Yet, the wrestling team made it to state and had a lot of state placers, nobody visits those. Track’s won at least 3 state championships in the past 10 years, but nobody goes to meets. =/

My school is definitely and all round school. We rock I’m sports academics and arts. We have around 2500 students. The football team had a 64 game winning steak.the girls basketball team made it to eastern conference.the track and volley ball teams make it to states. Our school is a magnet arts program. We have drama, writing, dance, visual art, communications, and music…to many honors to mention.50% of the school goes to in state colleges.around 42 to liberal arts and out of state schools.the other 8% to ives.pretty well rounded.or also offers all of the AP courses. Theirs definitely cliques but your free to be friends with who ever. I have friends who would be considered some of the elite most popular and also some that are not far from popular.

Well-rounded. Very good academica, pretty good sports teams and an amazing program, and a strong music program. The problem is lack of spirit and support.

Acedemics: very high. High percentage of people taking honors/ap
Athletics: pathetic. Nobody ever knows what goes on with the sport teams, and our volleyball team got cancelled because nobody wanted to join.
Artistic: pretty good. We have students who win competitions and stuff.

Our school is very well-rounded! Its a large public school that offers many APs and sends many kids to Ivies/Stanford every year. We also stand a fair chance at winning the state championship in every sport (heck I think our football team ‘recruits’ players even though they aren’t supposed to). Our Arts department is pretty decent as well.
