I just received my daughter's ISEE score report (applying 7th grade) and all sections got over 90% except reading comprehension @ 82% due to 4 incorrect answers (out of 30 questions). I learned from CC that 2 incorrect answers could still get 98% for reading comprehension. So I am totally puzzled by my DD's relatively low percentage (82%) for 4 incorrect answers in RC. I am wondering how your kids did for this part and what kind of percentage your kid got for how many wrong answers.

of missed questions, %, and stanine

Same test, reading 1 incorrect, 98%

Thanks for posting your RC score. So far I got the following for RC scoring for 7th grade:

1 missed, 98%
2 missed, need info
3 missed, need info
4 misdeed, 82%

Most people on this board take the SSAT, so you might not see too much chatter about ISEE here. My understanding is that ISEE is used for younger grades (prior to HS) and SSAT is prefered for most schools for 9th and 10th grade. 11th/12th/PG might use PSAT or SAT.

I know for the SSAT, especially for math in 8th grade boys that missing a few questions can dramatically lower the %.

Good luck with the process.

When I read other member’s article( you mentioned about), I was curious. 2 wrong answers can become stanine 9? Well, my sons took 4 times ISEE (for their whole middle , high school years) and so many my friends’ sons and daughters took ISEE. 2 wrongs in reading comprehension becomes stanine “7” ( around 85~87%). I and my friends think RC is most competitive section. Curves are so sharpen.
In my experience,
1 missed 98%
2 missed 86~87%
I still remembered that my son got 87% at reading comprehension with 2 incorrect in the middle level. This January 11th, my son took ISEE again for his high school. He got 98% in reading comprehension with 1 wrong. I am just wonder how 98 % comes out with 2 wrong in reading comprehension.

My son took the ISEE in December (8th grade, applying for 9th grade). He got two wrong in RC and got 95% and stanine “8”. In our area, no one talks about percentile for the ISEE it’s all about the stanines.

My DS took ISEE recently and got 97% on RC with 1 wrong.

My son also took the ISEE and is applying for 7th grade, but his test date was 1/11/14. He also got 4 wrong out of 30 on the RC section, which translated into 81%/7th stanine if this helps at all. . . .
