Whenever I make a word italic, it screws up the lining of the word and also make it slightly larger than the rest...? Help

It is a known issue. I thought they have already fixed it but obviously not.

grr it sholdnt be this difficult

My D has the whole supplement screwed up in pdf and the file is corrupted. Even worse, CommonApp said it is submitted and she cannot resubmit it. You should consider yourself very lucky.

Bill, did you ask the college if a clear copy can be manually submitted? If the content remains the same and it’s just the readability that’s fixed, they may allow a mailed copy. We’ve had cases where pages are garbled. If it’s just a few words, we just do our best.

Hate to say it, but if it’s only italics that fail, you may need to work without them.

darn. I just submitted a ticket and this is what they said:

Currently, paragraph breaks for your Common App Personal essay will appear in the text box or the print preview of your application.

Bold, underline, and italics will always carry over to Print Preview. Extra spaces will be removed automatically when you click continue. This means that you will not be able to indent your paragraphs. Colleges are aware of this formatting and take it into consideration when viewing your essay.

Thanks for not answering my question common app
