Hey all - S submitted 11/29 and we were hoping for Chicago Feb 3 – is Ithaca sending yes AND no replies, or just yes’s? It might be too early to hear anyway, just wondering as we see a lot of Chicago results. Good luck to all those out there waiting to hear back!

My daughter submitted 11/26 for Chicago Feb 5 and heard back 12/5. I don’t know about whether they’re sending yes’s and no’s. I can’t recall seeing any no’s on here.

Received email today for Feb 22 audition.

I’ve submitted all of my prescreens but Ithaca and have received all “yeses,” but Ithaca seems to be the strictest about time limits on the monologues….My current videos run over a minute, will they be fine to send or should I record new cuts before the new year? Would that be a reason to have a prescreen rejected?
Thanks!

I think Ithaca is very strict with their guidelines. I know of one student who emailed them about the requirements asking if she could use a clip from a show she was in for the dancing part and they responded (nicely) “follow the directions”
I don’t know if you going over 1 min would not allow you to pass the prescreens, but they may be seeing if you can follow directions. OMG this process! Good luck!

My S’s monologues for his Ithaca prescreen were just slightly over 1 min. (one was 1:11, the other 1:12, each including about 5-6 seconds of intro which usually doesn’t count against you), and he passed the prescreen.

Any idea how many make it past the pre screen? S got his we are going Feb 22

NewYorkSon, this is the first year that Ithaca has required a prescreen, so there’s no historical data. However, so far I haven’t seen a prescreen no.

S got a live audition!! Wow this process is so stressful

Congratulations!!

Thanks. This is quite a process

We contacted Ithaca regarding the time allotment - explained that the monologues my daughter had chosen were cut based on what the time allotment was for regular auditions (most schools use 2 min. max each) and they ran slightly over 1 min. in some instances.
Ithaca was very nice and said that if they ran over slightly 1 min. that we shouldn’t b concerned. FYI

per web site - notifications should be made by email today?
Have people been contacted who are Regular Decision? Wonder if they might be having a delay due to being closed for the bad weather on Monday or because this is the first year for prescreening they are dealing with a learning curve?

I haven’t heard anything yet…trying not to worry!

NB: Updated January 10, 2014 5:00 p.m. Due to technical difficulties, we have only been able to process invitations for audition dates up to February 4. Students who requested audition dates which fall after February 4 will be notified early next week. We apologize for this inconvenience.

That must be very frustrating! Please do not think ill of Ithaca because of this – it’s the first year they have done a prescreen!

Patience is a virtue…I feel for them. It must be a bit overwhelming considering this is their first year of prescreening.

Passed my prescreen for the LA Unifieds, February 9!

Congratulations!!

Thank you!
