So I need some help deciding which school. I applied to college for musical theater. I got into Ithaca’s BFA acting program and the Hartt school’s MT program. I especially need a program with strong belt instruction because that’s where I weak (and I’ve heard Ithaca isn’t very strong in that area). I’m still really leaning toward Ithaca. Anyone who can speak on either one of these would be awesome. I really need help with my decision. Thanks!!

I don’t know have any information on the two programs, but if you are saying you need to work on a weak part of your vocals and Ithaca’s progam is Acting I would compare curriculum and find out if you can still take private voice at Ithaca or somehow get the training that you are concerned you need. It would seem that when comparing an Acting and MT program the curriculum would be critically important to look at.

A good friend of my son’s went to Hartt and liked it, and has been working steadily in NYC since graduating 2 yrs ago.
