i've been getting conflicting opinions on this.

So Emory, good for Pre-med or not?
I know the admit rate for graduating medical students is slightly above the national average?
But to go to Emory for big money and still have a slightly above average admit rate, is it worth it?

I'm trying to find if the admit rate around 50% is the norm for other above-average schools.

Anyone else know?

Emory is amazing for premed. Someone posted the stats earlier. If you earn a 3.5 gpa and earn a 30 or above on the MCAT, Emory has a 95% acceptance rate. That's pretty incredible. If you have lower than those numbers, you probably aren't qualified for med school anyway. The difference is, Emory reports all students who apply to med school, no matte what their stats are. Not all schools do that.

Pre-med and Business are Emory's two strongest undergraduate programs. I feel like 1/3 of the students here are pre-med. It is tough, and I have also heard about the 95% admit rate mentiond above.

Yeah, and the new school of medicine buildings (anatomy and physiology) are really, really nice. i think they will be open by next semester maybe.
