I've come to the conclusion that Stanford is extremely full of itself...

standardized labels for all your envelopes?? required 9x12 envelopes?? seriously!

though they probably deserve to be.

Those envelopes + labels were annoying :/

9x12 envelopes? I did not see this before I had my counselor turn it in. Whatever.

are you serious? what if we sent in the envelopes with the wrong dimensions?

I hear they send a hired murderer over (now that they know where you live) and get him to strangle you, disembowel you and then take your kidneys (which they then sell to get more money with which to expand the school/ hire more killers).

Relax everyone. They obviously have standardized this request because they want to increase the number of documents that are easily scanned (9x12 so docs are flat). The labels are there so there's no chance of mislabeling. What's important is that they arrive -- they actually WANT to receive your docs, remember.

They aren't going to dump the docs rec'd that aren't in 9x12 envelopes and don't have their suggested label.

did u guys gold any of ur documetns sucha s teacher forms and counselor forms in order to fit them in the wqhite envelope?

Wouldn't it be easier to just have the teachers upload their recs online?

If you had to organize upwards of 20,000 applications, you would probably have a different view on this.

It just makes things a bit easier to organize. It's not like they are auto-denying people for sending in the wrong sized envelope.
