I've fallen out of love with classical economics

I’m an Econ major and I love it. However, I would never consider becoming an Economist - obviously most undergrads, no matter if they’re majoring in English, Pol Sci, Psych, Math, Bio, you name it, aren’t going to get their Ph.D’s. Most Econ majors end up in the Business world.

Undergrad should be a time to major in something you truly enjoy. It’s not trade school - going to college used to be about a traditional liberal arts education, not that there’s anything wrong with “trade” majors. Do whatever you’re intererested in.

Me, I’m interested in subjects like Econ, Govt, International relations, even History. An Econ major is really flexibile so
I can take a variety of liberal arts classes. I plan to go to Law school someday, so my undergrad degree is essentially irrelevant (except for certain types of law like patent law, but i’m not going into that field). So I picked Econ because it genuinally interests me and will keep me occupied til Law school  Major in whatever you like. If you dislike Econ, so what? Pick another major, there’s plenty to choose from.
