Okay, so theres basically a group within my school's debate team filled with people who drink, smoke, and literally cheat on everything. And I mean, EVERYTHING. AP notes-got em. AP quizes? Got em. Tests? They got em.

They've cheated their way from freshman year, have admitted it, and have laughed about it openly. Here's their system: They get last year's "bros" to give them every test to everything, and if theres something they can't prep out, they skip school to find out answers later that night. It's practically a cult.

Furthermore, the group (which is about 12ish) forms random clubs in order to give themselves leadership positions.

Now, maybe I would stand by and watch them cheat the system, except for one thing. They're all complete ********. They bully and spread rumors like wild fire.

So guess what? I've gotten dozens of pictures of them off of facebook at a variety of drinking parties. I have blatent examples of beer cans, and have personally identified the brands. I have screencaps of a variety of formsprings with various members of this "group" admitting to cheating, and even smoking marijuana. I've made formatted and well organized Packets with profiles of each student and their offenses and have shipped out copies of this Packet to the top 30 schools in the nation.

Reactions? Negative comments are welcome...but don't think they'll make me feel guilty :)

I don’t think you’ve really sabotaged anything; school’s can obviously elect to look through their applicants Facebook profiles, but its never been a problem before in the past. Besides, you’ve probably just wasted postage and envelopes on items that colleges probably won’t even look at (i.e. random mail). Anyway, this is the wrong section of the forum for this kind of thread.

This is not the proper place to post this. Needless to say, you are a coward and an utter lunatic. If you knew they were cheating and bullying, the responsible thing would have been to report them to teachers and/or school administrators at once. You could have at least shown a little courage and stood up to them. Your vigilantism was clearly not the best course of action.

You probably won’t be getting far with just sending them to colleges, since I doubt they have the time, people or system to link it together, but I do applaud your effort. There is a similar group in my high school, of rich asses, who are mostly dumb, party like hell and cheat their way through class.

While I do applaud your effort, here is a piece of advice. Don’t worry about it man. As for the similar group in my school (which doesn’t seem to be as bad as yours sounds), while I dislike them, I try not to think about it. While their is a whole bunch of people in high school who do this and will wrongly make admissions more competitive for you, just as their is in life people who get through based on connections rather than merit, you can’t let it get to you. I hate to be the pessimist, but their will always be cheaters and they will often get away through it. Just remember that the farther up the ladder they go, may it be from good college, to good job and further on up, the more their incompetence is revealed. Just know that they will most likely eventually get theirs and just do you.

Do those “cheaters” cheat on their SAT’s? Their 1500 SAT’s will look really wierd next to their 4.0 gpa’s. Don’t worry that group won’t get far in life.

Surely this thread is a joke- but in the off chance it isnt, if you want to expose cheating, report the evidence to your HS (assuming these students are still in HS).

If this story is true, the information you collected should be reported to HS administrators. Sending it to colleges was a waste of time and money.

I don’t understand your personal motivation behind this though…Do you think you’re bringing justice to the world? Do you (falsely) think it might give you a better shot at top schools? Hmm…

I think trackster1992 and CarnegieMellon summed it up perfectly. You gotta learn to mind your own business, and instead of wasting effort to bring people down, work on improving yourself.

and like someone else said, partying doesn’t make you a bad person

I agree with a lot of the previous posts, HS administrators would have probably been the better course of action. Plus, they may just apply to other less prestigious schools for a full ride.
