Hi,
I will be a senior soon and I'm planning to run at Ivy schools.
I recently got official visit offers from two Ivy Schools.
My grades and SAT scores are good.
How significant are the Official visit for Ivy School?

The official visit offer is a very significant demonstration of interest by the school. Be on your best behavior, be prepared for an admissions interview if that is on your visit schedule, and after the official visit thank the coach and let him know how much you liked the school if you liked it. If the school is your first choice, tell that to the coach. Start now to get your applications to these schools ready, since you will probably be asked to apply early.

Thank you,
I started my application already and I am almost done with it:)
Can you tell me I should expect to do there?
or what questions they will ask me?

Use the search feature here to read the threads re OVs. There are many words of wisdom from people who have already been through the process.

Hmmm…I just used the search function and didn’t come up (five pages in) with much. The threads I saw are about getting offers for OV’s, rather than what happens once you’re there. Perhaps someone would be kind enough to respond or post some links? I think many of us with kids heading off to OV’s this fall would be curious. I do remember reading something this past spring about drinking on OV’s, though I didn’t come across it again in my search.

Varska’s book, which is linked below, provides a detailed and helpful description of an OV from his daughter’s perspective.

^^
Varska"s book is like reading a blue print for Ivy League recruiting. We found it to be very helpful. Great detailed description of the OV.
