Ivy Day 2016!

@Asianfang Just remember that if you get in, you aren’t as smart as you think, and if you don’t get in, you aren’t the failure you think. You are the same person either way.

Applied to four (Harvard, Yale, Penn, & Cornell) but accepted to Cornell ILR early! I’m so nervous

@AnastasiaAliyev Princeton early decisions have already been released.

@ntnationa All ivy decisions are released at 5 PM ET on March 31.

guys I’m an international student asking for basically full aid. I haven’t got any likely letters yet-- that that mean i will be rejected :smiley: also, @hoggy247 if you are international IDOC is not requested by any except for Harvard :slight_smile: good luck everyone!! and 5pm on the 31st is 8am on April 1st for me, so after i find out my results I’ll have to go to school bleghhhhh -_-

@Marcelleparcelle just because you didn’t get a likely, doesn’t mean you’ll be rejected. A very small percent of people, including internationals, get likelies…don’t give up hope!

@cheerleader16 Thanks!! I’m international and that’s 10 pm over here. Now I need to decide whether to check at 10 or the next day… :confused: I applied to HYP, UPenn and Brown. And I’m awaiting almost certain rejection as my stats are pretty low. Good luck everyone! :slight_smile:

Just learned I’m going to be traveling to a state theatre competition when decisions come. Fun place to do so!

@Grapess: I applied to all 8, yes. I’m so, so nervous :S

@Nedcone, Good luck there!

I’m also very nervous. Applied to Harvard, Princeton, Penn, Columbia, and Cornell. Hoping for good news from at least one. Was already accepted into Harvey Mudd, so won’t be absolutely devastated if I don’t get in, but it’ll be quite sad.

@AnastasiaAliyev Thank you! :smiley: I applied Single Choice Early Action to Princeton and got in. Then, I got a likely from Cornell!

I may open them in this order:

Cornell (LL, named scholar), Dartmouth, Brown, Penn, Columbia (LL), Princeton, Yale, Harvard

I think that’s approximately reverse order of how much I want to go to them. Plus, I get to start with an acceptance, and then break it up with an acceptance before the slaughter-fest of HYP.

(@Grapess)

@Princetonian2020 That’s so awesome! I wish you luck! With those two under your belt, I’m sure you’ll get in wherever else you apply! It’s so stressful waiting for ivy day though :((

Hy, guys! International applicant here. I applied to Yale SCEA(rejected), Columbia and Dartmouth. I am certainly going to be rejected by both, but oh well. I am so sure of it that I might as well not check lol. Good luck everyone!

i just want to go to upennnnnn

@Anonymoose3 Great plan. I was also thinking of opening the HYP letters last. But then again, we also have to consider the possibility of some portals being over-flooded with kids trying to check their decisions at the same time. Still, HYP is always last.

Dang, I wish I had the courage like most of you to apply to 5 or even all 8 ivies. I only applied to U Penn (ED rejected) and Cornell RD, and Duke (because my mom was nagging at me to add a “high” college). Expecting rejections from Duke and Cornell :slight_smile: :slight_smile: :slight_smile: but I’m happy that ND, NU, and BC admitted me.

^ ND and NU are top notch. Congratulations.

My D applied 7 Ivy Universities. She is an international student. I am nervous these days. Waiting is the hardest part

I applied to Columbia, Dartmouth and Cornell. I was rejected ED @ Columbia, and I’m fairly sure I’ll be rejected from both Cornell and Dartmouth, but I’m hopeful with a higher ACT @ Cornell due to superscoring, and a stellar interview at Dartmouth. I really liked my Cornell essay, and my Dartmouth supplement was not too shabby. So far I’ve been accepted at Georgia Tech, UF, and UCF!

Good luck to all!
