<p>I think we are talking in terms of what schools provide the best chance for employment in the financial world (since that is OP’s interest). Wharton, Harvard, and Princeton all are more of a target school for those jobs than UVA is unfortunately. Not to say UVA isn’t recruited, but not as much as those schools. </p>
<p>By the way, I’m a Comm student, so it’s not like I’m talking down to those in the Comm school. It’s just a fact. If OP can get into Wharton, Harvard, or Princeton (and study whatever at Harvard or Princeton, but keep relevant finance ECs/go after internships for experience) I would definitely go there over UVA. If not, I think the Comm school is the #1 place to be. </p>
<p>I think McIntire stands with Ross and Haas in terms of recruiting, and after that it’s kinda based on where you want to live. For example, Notre Dame apparently is #1 this year, but I’m sure there are more recruiters for jobs in Chicago than in NYC. I’m sure Villanova has tons of NYC and Philly jobs, etc.</p>
