Hi, does anyone know the acceptance rates of ivy league schools? I heard it is at an all time low this year.

Yep, they are.

I've heard Yale accepted only 5.8% RD, for a total rate of 8.6%.
Harvard's total was 9.3%.
Columbia accepted only 7.9% for an overall rate of 9.6%.
Penn's acceptance rate will probably fall between 17-19% this year.
Dartmouth accepted 15.4% overall.

The same goes for top 25's. All are reporting lower acceptance rates.

Cornell was 21 percent....

Princeton's was 6.9%

omg....7 percent, is that a joke?

can someone verify that yale's was 5.8% RD? if that's true...sheesh

bball87- Nope. The numbers were 17,500 applied, 1,220 accepted. (so nice of them to put this on the rejection letter...)

Are you sure it's 1220 accepted or 1220 in a class?

Big difference, and a common mistake.

Princeton's incoming class has 1,220 people.

jpps1- smart. it's class not accepted. still I imagine the initial percentage is small.

So their acceptance rate (using past yield) is around 10%, not 7%. Princeton rarely (if ever) has the lowest acceptance rate of HYP.

silly 2006’ers, you should see our admissions rate now

:(
