Ivy NMSC College Choice Question

Is there any benefit to putting down Yale University as my first college choice on my NMSF application even if Yale doesn't offerany merit money??? I'm not interested in applying to any schools that give full merit scholarships to National Merit Finalists so I figure this will at least show serious interest in my first-choice school, which is Yale. Any opinions or thoughts you guys???

Probably not. You can change your first choice at any time out to July.

B-u-m-p!!!

Yale knows how this game is played. They also know that the majority of their serious applicants have NMSF designation. Don't sweat it. D put down Rice and was admitted to HYP+.

Does the University of Chicago offer national merit money??

Yes, it does; at least, it appeared on the list of colleges that give money for people who designate it as a first choice.
