Ivy Transfer

I am attending Clarkson University and I would like to transfer to Princeton. I don’t know what my chances are so I am asking for your opinion.
Here’s is how I stand:

Freshman
GPA: 4.00
Senate Representative (College Government)
Serving on several comities.
High SAT Scores.

Thanks

Unfortunately, Princeton doesn't accept transfers. However, all the other Ivies do. You might also want to look at other elite schools, like top LACs, JHU, Georgetown, etc. How good a school is Clarkson? That will give me a better idea of how your chances for various schools are.

Clarkson is more technologically oriented; it is good for computer science. I know it won the Linux Challenge 2004 IBM competition; and other awards especially in the field of Linux. Clarkson is ranked 105 according to USCollege Rankings.

ICargirl is right - no transfers to Princeton.

How about the other Ivy schools?

Any opinions?

Ivy league schools are notoriously hard to transfer into. From the stats you've provided alone, it's hard to really say whether you have a chance, but I think you should look into some other schools too if you really want to transfer. Even if you are able to make it in, your credits may no longer count. I believe Harvard doesn't take any transfer credits at all, but I may be wrong. I don't know about other Ivies

I know Brown has a pretty good transfer acceptance rate. I'm not sure about Cornell, but depending on what school you want to transfer into, your chances might be good there as well. However, as Rhapsody said, you should look past the Ivies. There are schools in-between Clarkson and Ivy level that might be more likely to accept you. What about Tufts, or Carnegie Melon, or Emory?
