J.D./Ph.D. (Political Science)

<p>Just out of curiosity, what can one do with a J.D./Ph.D. (Political Science), besides working in academia? Could</p>

<p>*Could one still practice law with both degrees?</p>

<p>You could do anything with the JD/PhD that you could do with the JD alone. You could practice law, as long as you were admitted to the bar. But you will have spent an extra 5-7 years in school, not earning as much as you could as a lawyer. And legal employers may be hesitant to hire you, worrying that you’ll leave for academia.</p>
