how come no one is discussing the double passages about “considering your audience when writing”, this was a real section right?

to rileyjohn:

do you remember what the other answer choices were?

It was definitely “incomplete.”

caizzacus17:
there are a whole bunch of posts regarding the “considering the audience when writing”

how do you even know the answer was incomplete why was he acting incomplete and what was the question anyway. and once again why isnt anyone talking about the double passage about considering your audience when writing.

@silverturtle

for the cosmology question wasn’t it between couldn’t calculate distances or contradict poetic notions or am I forgetting a choice.

caizzacus17:
go to the earlier pages on this thread. the double passages have been discussed quite thoroughly.

Which question exactly?

why were they baffled

Guys, I’m a senior.

Does anyone here think I should retake the SAT in May before graduation and see if I can increase more points to my score?

I don’t think I did too good on this “easy exam” seeing how much careless errors I’ve already made.

I said that it was because they couldn’t reliably predict observed phenomena.

Why would you want to do that?

also what was didactic an answer to and why?

The mother in the first writing passage was trying to educate her daughter about how to be a good writer.

I put they were baffled because it contradicted poetic notions about the universe, which they realized because they could observe phenomena. I don’t remember the passage ever suggesting that they couldn’t reliably predict celestial motion, I could be wrong though, anyone else remember

"What was the question AND answer choices for the answer “Thought process distinctive to researchers”… was there any other possible choices? "

Opps, I though I had put this in quotes before. Anyone know this?

I think it was “amusing” instead of “incomplete.” The father’s explanation was an exaggerated and extremely sentimental one, and the narrator comically added that there were much more practical reasons for taking the back roads than the intense emotional explanation his dad gave

This was my third time taking it as a senior. (Yes when I get my scores back on February, I’m going to send it to the colleges.)

But by comparing the answers I had on the exam, I realized that they weren’t too accurate compared to what everyone had. I already said that I didn’t think this test was too difficult. I made so much careless errors that costed me from getting a high score.

I might intend on transferring colleges if I do well in my freshmen year and a half in sophomore year.

So I was basically thinking that I might retake the test over again in May as a finalth time and see what I get.

gayeagle - do what ever you want and take it when u feel ready, what r u trying to get?

read my explanation on why I think it’s “amusing” not “incomplete” let me know wat u guys think
