@Holocaust im only just seeing this, but thanks for the help :D

Physics is very easy exam. All that comes is basic. 1/4rth of what I was taught came in the test (though i am Indian, i don’t know what is the education system in US)

As to score range,
<a href=“SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides”>SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides;

All the conversion tables from PR, Barrons, Kaplan, sparknotes, seem to say that 65+ is 800 in terms of raw score. That is 8 wrong (not omitted). Is this really accurate? Isn’t this too low/easy? Or is this still accurate in 2013.2014?

Hopefully it’s consistent. I don’t see why they would change the curve for January…

And I really want a string of 800s on my subject tests. I got one in math ii, I may have gotten one in physics… and I need one in chemistry, which i hear is a lot harder. Hopefully it’s also a lot easier.

The curve is supposed to be adjusted to the exam results and perceived difficulty. So I suspect the math curve would be shifted forward more, higher 800 mark, and I expect the same for physics :|

Of course, time is always an issue, so we can hope that that factor let’s them keep the curve as it is or lower the 800 mark.

I bombed Math II and December with a 630. Sparknotes told me that was a 50% percentile while my score report said it was a 25% percentile. Judging by the fact that the percentiles were wrong, I wouldn’t trust their curve chart either.

%tile depends upon not only ur marks but the scores of others as well. Therefore, no %tile chart can give u an accurate value other than collegeboard one

Oh hey guys, what was the answer to the question that asked about something LIGHT can do in air, but not SOUND???

I think I narrowed it down to Polarization and refraction/diffraction (can’t remember which). What was the answer? Also, I was confused about the “in air” thing. Light can’t be polarized “in air”, it has to be passed through a Polaroid. And refraction can’t be done “in air”, there must be another medium.

EM Waves polarize - light, gravitational waves etc
Diffraction - all waves

look, polarization is basically changing the oscillation direction which is only possible with Electro Magnetic waves. As only they oscillate in 2 directions.

Sound is longitudinal wave. (pressure wave and thus travel in 1D only)

It’s been a while, but what was man viewing the bird above the pool question answer?

GOT A 730! Super excited, I didn’t even know E&M or optics!

I got an 800. Just saying. Nbd.

I got a 770! Expect higher but whatever last SAT test in my life woohooo!
