what is raw score? like 40/50 ?

what is scaled score? like 760 ?

what is raw score? like 40/50 ?

what is scaled score? like 760 ?

^ yes, you are correct. The raw score is calculated so that you get 1 point per correct answer and -.25 points for each wrong answer (0 for omits).

Then your raw score is scaled on a curve to get your scaled score.

Do the full score reports that come out tomorrow just give the raw score, or do they include other info as well?

thank u lolcats4

score reports came out but i couldn't see my raw score? (mathIIC)

your raw score is never released.

then whats the trick of a score report? is it just for national percentile?

yep, that's all it tells you

I shouldn't have waited...

us history - 800

:-) yay my first 800!

Why would you take US History... in January?
Unless your class moves VERY fast.

But yeah I'm going to take that test in June. Was it hard?

he might have selfstudied;)

Haha...my school goes by semesters but our classes are 90 mins long every day. I'm a junior so I had US History I for half the year last year and then I just finished US History II this January. Honors classes. I just had to self-study 80s and 90s cuz we didn't really cover them in class.

Well, I didn't think it was too hard. But the intense last-min cramming paid off (not that I'm advocating last-min studying!). I guess you just have to study. I used Kaplan.

What happens if I omitted 3?? I have no idea how many mistakes I made on questions I did answer though…
I only took math 2 that day and would really like a 800… should I cancel??
Was this test easy (i.e. is scaling going to be harsh?)

Alphidea, If you got the 47 others questions right, that would still leave you with a raw of 46 which is definately an 800. It’s hard to predict the scaling or the curve, but you could still get 2 or 3 more wrong while omitting 3 and pull of an 800.

got
Biology E 710
Math II 770
Physics 780

Please tell me if its good enough for Ivys??? I hate my Biology E score :(((((

So many people here got excellent Biology scores! I found the test very very difficult! I am so disappointed :(

Yes!

just got 800 on Math Level IIC
and 770 on Physics

So excited because I’ve only taken one term of IB physics (2 year program).

Chemistry and (english) and Physics re-take will be a breeze. I hope.

800 Math level 2
800 Physics!
I think the curve is really generous, because I am expecting a 730 on my physics…

so true… haha! I mean, it was probably the easiest SAT II physics test in the last 10 years. So much BS in the material- light, weird electrospectrometer problems. I guessed on at least 5 questions.
