Japanese+ Music Education as majors

I hear that if I have any hesitation if wanting to apply ED, I shouldn’t do it. However, I’ve been interested in Middlebury College for a long time, and am really passionate about being a Japanese major. I also want to continue to play music, as I’m enrolled in 2 orchestra and a wind ensemble at my school, all three being capstone groups, and I also student teach sophomore band as well. I’ve been playing clarinet for 7 years, and I personally think I’ve gotten to a very advanced level. However, Middlebury’s music programs isnt really strong, and I still think I want to play clarinet and maybe teach music, and am worried that I just won’t get the right training to be seriously profiecient in both clarinet and Japanese. However, I do really like that Middlebury has the oppurtnity to still take lessons and participate in their school orchestra, and if I went there, and I had a primary focus on Japanese with a minor and music, it would be a really good experience. Can anyone offer some insight on this dilemma?
Thanks!
