Hello-

I understand that work experience is vital for the top MBA schools, so would it be same to assume the same applies for the joint program?

Along those same lines, would military experience, more specifically as a commissioned officer, help bolster my resume?

Thank you.

Yes, joint MBA programs prefer/require work experience. Most programs accept time as a military officer as being equivalent to high-quality employment. If you are already planning on joining the military and are otherwise academically qualified to enter such a program, then it should not be an issue.

Your statement is a little vague on one issue - are you already in / planning to join the military? I would not recommend joining the military as a commissioned officer (as that is a lifelong commitment) just for a perceived educational benefit.

Please note that there are MBA and JD forums on this site where you can get better answers - most people on the grad school forum are looking at research degrees, rather than professional degrees.
