Oh hush, you live in LA. LOVE OUR CITY’S TEAM, BOY.

“Lin had just five points on 1-for-13 shooting and four turnovers in the second half.”

yikes

@HSMCCP Yea, NBA is kinda lame–No parity, no defense, no passion, lots of traveling and other missed calls for the sake of milking that big dunk etc.

Top story in the basketball world for me today was MSU beating OSU in Columbus. Big Ten just got a lot more interesting. This’ll shake things up come tourney time. I guess you guys on the left coast wouldn’t know much about college bball given how much the Pac-12 sucks this year.

For the sports-oblivious CCer: Also, Harvard lost to Princeton today, resulting in their first lost in Ivy League play. This means that Harvard will likely drop out of the top 25, but can still make March Madness if they win their conference outright.

I watched the Knicks vs. Wolves game today. Lin ended up with 20 points, but 5th consecutive win for the Knicks, and he’s scored the most points in all of them. He’s real.

As much of a stellar player JLin is, I still stay faithful to the Lakers. Lakers for the winnnnn

Now all we need is an Indian in the NBA and we’re set.

lol^ 10char

@jesskidding I don’t think the Wolves game solidified his standing anymore. Look at his assist to TO ratio this game. Terrible. Fields and Shumpert have to be given credit to the game more than Jeremy, heck even Novak with his 3 ball in the 4th. He’s still got to prove himself against better teams (not the Lakers) in my personal opinion.

Ok yeah his ratio was pretty mediocre, but this is only his 5th game off the bench. Everyone looked extremely gassed by 4th anyways. His free-throw pretty much won the game anyways We’ll see what happens on tuesday…

as one quotes from another forum, "I remember when I first heard of Lin in Sports Illustrated a few years ago… then watched his game against UCONN…

in my opinion, it’s one of the most disturbing cases of racial profiling i’ve ever seen… i’m not saying “omg it’s so obvious this dude is an nba all star no one knows about him”, but it was pretty clear to see that for some reason, people gave absolutely no respect to this player that clearly had a lot of talent

he was the california player of the year coming out of high school… but got no offers outside of the ivy league, NOT A SINGLE offer from any school in california; not even stanford, which is literally across the street from his gym

it doesn’t really surprise me what he’s doing since he actually got an opportunity"

To say his turnovers were high in the Wolves game doesn’t mean he isn’t good. He had more turnovers and a bad fourth quarter because he’s tired. He’s getting minutes that he’s not used to be getting, and they’re playing more often because the shortened season. Everyone is getting tired. For one, I’m happy to see this guy play well. I’m all for the underdog story, plus I’m a Knicks fan and this is exactly what they need.

mark my words, the red sun that is the east will rise over and west. the west never saw a thing a’coming.

Jeremy Lin shall score 101 points this year.

That kid’s a beast, I swear…

j lin for the win. even my asian mom watches basketball now. WIN!!!

race doesnt exist. its a social construct

And social constructs don’t exist?

And Lin does it again. 6th consecutive win; all with Lin scoring the most points. LIN LIN LIN LIN LIN LIN LIN

^^Hahaha nice one TCBH
