Jeremy lin hype

AAAAAAAAAAAAAH BEASTTTTTTTTTTT [[HD] Jeremy Lin Game-Winning Three Pointer vs. Raptors (GIVEAWAY) - YouTube](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube)

There was no defense on that game winner tbh

^ That’s because he was anticipating Lin to drive to the basket because that’s how he gets most of his points.

As an asian and as a diehard warriors fan, his success is so bittersweet. He is probably my favorite palyer and it’s awesome to see him take the league by storm but dammit his success makes me so annoyed off at the same time. He should be on the warriorrrsssss!!! why is our front office so stupid. my team is cursed

goddamn all my friends who have never watched a basketball game before or follow basketball regularly are all professing their love and admiration for jeremy lin (granted, they are also almost all asian, too). one of them was going off about how she loves jeremy lin, and then asked me what the difference between an offensive and defensive rebound when i began discussing his stats with her. bandwagon-ing to da max

Haha stupid people LOL

Did they ask you what a 3 pointer was too? Smh at the bandwagon fans.

@HSMCPP, but is this bandwagoning wrong? Ok I get it when bandwagoning about some new phone or some fad that has no point. But come on, he is the first Chinese to make it big in NBA. You don’t need to know the specifics of basketball, you can tell he is good - he made a 3 pointer with half a second remaining.

Likewise, when Obama became President, he was hyped so much because he was the first African American president - is that wrong? Is it wrong or stupid to celebrate something that is so momentous? Similarly, Lin’s rise to fame could mean the same to some people as electing the first black president (not a great analogy, i know).

All I am saying is that I guess it means more to people than just hopping on board with what others are saying and trying to feel included.

The world is changing slowly my friend…

you were supposed to imply that i meant biologically but yeah social constructs exist

and Lin is good but the teams he has played are not the top of the crop this year. Beating the Lakers is not what it used to be years ago. The rest of the teams are .500 or below teams. His true tests come against the Bulls, Celtics, Mavericks, Heat, and even Clippers. If he can perform like this against those teams which have pretty good guards, then there is no doubt that he is at the top. Not saying that he is legit but what im saying is that his true test is yet to come. Actually I think its this week agains the Mavs.

@eagles, yeah you are right and plus just playing 5 or 6 games aren’t enough to make a decent judgement on this guy yet.

i never said it was wrong, i just find it very irritating. pseudointellectualism is one of my biggest pet peeves, and bandwagoning is a manifestation of it.

I will admit I am a bandwagon too. I used to watch basketball for like a few minutes before switching channels or look up stats. After watching Lin, I still don’t watch the whole games, but I do watch some of the highlights.

No, I know you didn’t say it was wrong. I just wanted to point that out because the posters following you were starting to go off about bandwagons. I was just asking but I know exactly what you were talking about.

9 assists and up by 18. Great half by NYK and Lin.

Oh boy that was great. first it’s “oh well see once stat comes back” and now it’s “oh the opponents suck, that’s why”. he still owns. Calm down and enjoy the games.

And a record high of 13 assists. yeah.

Lin has a higher shooting % than Tebow does completion %; and for any comparison to be made, Tebow would’ve had to pass for over 300 yds in each of his 1st 5 starts.

And Lin isn’t a super elite NBA PG, but he’s good enough to be a pretty good starting PG (with his strengths and weaknesses).

All the anti-Jeremy Lin people can suck on him and his performance today against the Mavs.

NEW YORK KNICKS

LEGGO

best fantasy pickup for me…ever
