Jerome Fisher ED/RD Dilemma!!

Should I apply ED or retake the SAT and apply RD?!

I am a 21 yr old Israeli-USA dual citizen and I will be applying for Financial Aid.

I really want to get into M&T and if not -- Wharton.

Stats:
Oct. SAT- 2220
800 CR
740 M
680 W

SAT II:
800 Math II
770 Math I
800 Modern Hebrew

No exact GPA per se, but my weighted Bagrut (Israeli state examinations) average is 107.14 (100-scale).

Legacy

Served 4 years in the Israeli army intelligence corps as a commander in a techno position (wrote an essay about it; glowing c/o recommendation as well)

Started telecomm startup company with friends, but ultimately failed (wrote an essay about this too, and dealing with disappointment and all that jazz)

Prominent leadership positions in the Israeli scouts throughout high school. Director of 900-member tribe in senior year. It took up more of my time than a full time job, but I marked only 25 hrs a week, so it would seem reasonable.

My recommendations are both great.

So, bottom line, should I retake SAT and apply RD?
(I can definitely move the math up to 800, writing probably over 740, CR might go down a bit)

I know legacy applicants receive some sort of preference in ED, but is this preference more important than higher SAT scores?

Apply early. There is really no major issue with your scores and legacy is by far most significant in the early round.

Thanks for your reply @Poeme!
I’m currently leaning towards just getting it over with …

BTW, what is your major at Penn?

bump … Any other opinions?
