Seriously started looking at colleges and JHU has been one that I have fell upon to. I wanted to know anything about the JHU Carey business school. I am looking to be a finance concentration and go as Financial Analyst for a Financial Company.
How is the recruiting considering that its new?
Any other notes that I should take about it? Cannot find a lot of info online

Hahahahahaha
In all honesty, Carey is an awful business school. But as an undergraduate, why would you even care? You won’t be studying at Carey. Do you know how college majors work…?

@JustAnotherTry Why would I not be studying at Carey? At other undergrad biz school I go to there biz school ie Emory, Kelley

Uh, largely since Hopkins, like most undergrad institutions, doesn’t offer a business major. For your interests, you’d probably be majoring in Economics with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Management. That means that 95% of your coursework will be done outside of Carey; I think you’d have the option to take one or two courses at Carey, if even that.

This isn’t unique. If you go to Emory, you won’t be taking many classes at Goizueta. If you go to Harvard, you won’t even be able to touch their business school. Not sure about Kelley and IU, but I have some friends there.

Long story short, do your research.

@JustAnotherTry I actually have done my research and JHU does bachelor in business administration
http://carey.jhu.edu/academics/bachelor-of-business-administration

For the record, Johns Hopkins University does not offer a BBA. Carey does. Carey is not KSAS or WSE; it is not part of the university, it’s a separate institution. You won’t be a “regular student” at Hopkins…it’s effectively like applying to a different college that happens to have the Johns Hopkins name plastered to it.

Still don’t believe me? Here: <a href=“Majors, Minors & Programs | Johns Hopkins University Admissions”>http://apply.jhu.edu/academics/majors/
Note that BBA is not on that list.
